Each vial of VXS-25 contains 25 mg of Xa Substrate co-lyophilized with 60 mg of mannitol bulking agent. Sealed glass container has a 20 ml capacity for reconstitution.

Product should be stored refrigerated (2-8°C) and is stable until expiry in the unopened state. Stable 3 months at 2-8°C once reconstituted. Shipment of unopened product does not require refrigeration.

The chromogenic peptide is cleaved by Factor Xa to release free pNA, which is then measured photometrically at 405 nm. Used by researchers for Factor Xa activity tests, the Xa Substrate in VXS-25 is also specified for the pharmacopeial Anti-Xa assay of heparin and LMW-heparin.
