Tris-Saline Buffer Concentrate

Diluted buffer fulfills the USP and Ph. Eur. requirements for Anti-factor Xa and Anti-

factor IIa heparin sodium assay buffer. The buffer is intended for the reconstitution of freeze-dried (lyophilized) enzyme factors (Xa and IIA) and Antithrombin, and can also be used as a diluent in the final assay solution.

Each vial of VBC-20 contains 20 ml of aqueous 5X Buffer Concentrate with the following composition:

  • Tris-base

  • Sodium chloride

  • Disodium EDTA

  • PEG-6000 (macrogol)

  • pH 8.4 (working solution, at 20°C)

Product should be stored refrigerated (2-8°C) and is stable until expiry in the unopened state. Stable 6 months at 2-8°C once diluted. Shipment of unopened product does not require refrigeration.

Prior to use, the entire contents (20 ml) of VBC-20 should be diluted to a 1X working solution by addition of 4 parts (80 ml) of purified water.
